Nicky Hargrove is well known across Arkansas for his leadership and contributions to the betterment of agriculture. Among his many venues of service, he was president of Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation from 1976-1986. Mr. Hargrove received the Progressive Farmer magazine “Man of the Year in Service to Agriculture Award.” He has continued to serve on the board of directors of the Arkansas County Farm Bureau, the Farmers & Merchants Bank of Stuttgart, and the White River Regional Irrigation Water Distribution District. Mr. Hargrove has also served on the Arkansas Board of Higher Education, Arkansas Vo-Tech Evaluation Committee, Stuttgart and Arkansas Chambers of Commerce, Arkansas Angus Association, Arkansas Seed Growers Association, Arkansas Soybean Association, Rice Council of Arkansas, Arkansas Rice Promotion Association, Agri-Arkansas Council, and Ducks Unlimited. Mr. Hargrove and his family were county and district “Farm Family of the Year” and Progressive Farmer’s “Master Farm Family.” Mr. Hargrove was appointed by Agriculture Secretary Butz to the National Rice Advisory Commission. He has also served on the American Farm Bureau Board of Directors.
